The street food revolution has brought many new entrants to the market over the last few years and no category has grown quicker than our classic and global street food caterers. The days of the greasy, soggy burgers and old style toasties are over. Classic Street Food is on fire. The Love Street Food team showcase some of the best that you can hire for your next event.

We have to start with arguably the king of street food…the burger. Who would have thought a few years back that wedding couples would switch from traditional caterer menus to gourmet handcrafted burgers? Sustainable quality meats, artisan buns and fresh fillings all combine to create these mouth-watering, much loved treats.
Jo Bro's Burgers came onto the scene a few years back and with all of the above, have created a big following. Their flavour packed quality burgers, inspired by our American cousins, are super popular. In Christchurch the Bacon Brothers team are smashing it out the park – bacon, burgers and hugs are always on the menu.
Wipe Out – the new chefs on the street food block are taking classic street food to the next level with finger licking classic burgers, ribs, tacos and fish and chips. Chef Richard and team are becoming a popular choice for corporate events.

Fish and Chips are a Kiwi classic and we are fortunate to have Chef Luke and Mitin from Catch'ya on the Love Street Food team in Auckland. Sustainable seafood is their thing. Their journey has just started and they are already building a following.
In Christchurch we have the British inspired fish and chip experts The Chippy – think fish 'n' chips, curry sauce and mushy peas. There must be a pickled onion in there somewhere.

Toasted sandwiches have been around as long as Winston Peters, possibly longer. Gone are the days of cheap white bread and bland fillings. Welcome to the new generation of artisan breads, and globally inspired fillings. The Cuban, The Reuben and The Cuban Reuben are on the menu in 2021. We even have vegan toasted sandwiches that will convert the most carnivorous of you. Toasted AS are the top dogs in the toasted sandwich scene.
And Urban Flair, a new chef inspired food truck are creating some delicious gourmet sandwiches, burger, tacos, all with a French accent. Chef Guillaume can create a special menu for you. Check them out.

If you are looking for a taste of Canadian Street Food, hunt down the ‘Poutine Machine’ with those cheesy, gravy soaked fries.
Newcomers Braai have just created what we believe is Auckland’s first South African food truck. The famous ‘brai’ is much loved across the globe and now we get to enjoy those classic African bbq flavours.
Brooklyn Dogs have moved hot dogs up a level or two with their free range, American style ‘dogs’. Denny and team are very popular for corporate events and celebrations. With vegan and GF options, all your bases are covered.
Finally, the Italians started it (possibly), Americans put their spin on it. Who doesn’t love pizza? Thin Crust, Neapolitan style, New York Style…We love the wood fired European style of Stumpy’s Wood-Fired Pizzas and Napoli Central.
